Territorial Security - European Commission LOGISTICS AND SECURITY MANAGEMENT, ELECTORAL OBSERVATION MISSION ANGOLA - JUNE-OCTOBER 2008. - As part of a direct contract with the European Commission, the GEOS Group, coordinated by the Representation of the GEOS Group to the European Institutions (GEOS EUIR), was awarded as subcontractor to the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), the security management of the electoral observation mission deployed across Angola. With only 15 days notice, GEOS Europe took charge of the operators, and the management of all the administrative, financial and budgetary aspects of the assignment, implementing the logistics and security management for the entire mission. In a proactive manner, the GEOS Group took charge of the security of 80 observers on the ground and the logistics and security management for 18 delegates (including 5 MEPs) of the European Parliament. EU funding allocated by the European Commission was managed entirely by our European team of Project Management experts in Brussels. Due to the smooth running of the electoral observation mission and the exemplary protection provided to the group of observers, the GEOS Group has been associated with the GTZ on a long term basis as part of a consortium selected by the European Commission in its framework contract (FWC) for Support to EU Election Observation Missions (EOM).

Territorial Security - European Commission SECURITY SENSITIZATION SESSIONS FOR HUMANITARIAN RELIEF PERSONNEL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION - 7 countries - 2009-2011
This framework contract of the GEOS Group results from the first security-related external contract signed with the DG ECHO (European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid Office). Moving forward, the GEOS EUIR (EUropean Institution Representation) team has laid solid foundations for the delivery of security sensitization sessions for humanitarian relief personnel into the future. The ECHO training program involves a budget of 800,000 euro, 23 one-week training sessions for 500 trainees to be given over 3 years, in 7 countries and 5 continents. This high-level training is aimed at promoting and developing an effective security culture in compliance with HEAT (HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS TRAINING) standards. GEOS succeeded in meeting this challenge because it is the only French security firm with a permanent branch in Brussels (GEOS EUIR). The subsidiary has positioned itself as the leading security firm to work with the European Institutions. GEOS EUIR is committed to extending our unique French approach to security risk management in the European capital.
Business Intelligence - Government Services to governments The government of an emerging market economy sought to introduce comprehensive anti-money laundering legislation. In concert with international organizations, GEOS enabled the implementation of relevant legislation and effective compliance monitoring. The result was full compliance with EU directives and the country was able to conduct financial and trade transactions with the European Union.
