GEOS is bound to conducting and implementing its actions according to certain fundamental principles. These constitute our professional ethics, shared without exception by the entirety of our personnel and collaborators, because our field of work involves specialized disciplines in high risk zones.
TRANSPARENCY GEOS is clearly recognized by the French authorities as well as by the authorities of the countries where we are led to carry out our activities of assessment and assistance. GEOS is particularly concerned with the respect of the law, and the transparency of our structures and assignments.
INDEPENDENCE GEOS guarantees its independence through financial autonomy and private shareholding as well as by its position taking. GEOS stands out through its impartiality and balanced judgements, the variety and choice of its assignments and by the diversity of its client portfolio. Consequently the company reserves the right to refuse any activity or indeed any person or body that does not conform to its ethics.
RESPECT OF COMMITMENTS GEOS is committed to taking on only those assignments and services for which we can control the execution and for which we have the necessary means to offer the highest level of security possible to the persons and assets to be protected. GEOS will keep its partner continually informed about the security situation in the zone covered.
APPROVAL OF PRINCIPLES The GEOS Group fully complies with the Global Pact of the United Nations that promotes Human Rights, Labour Rights and Protection of the Environment, with the Volontary Principles on security and human rights, and supports the work of the Global Compact Office. The GEOS Group is committed to respecting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948, as well as the Treaties of Rio and Johannesburg.
PARTNERSHIP The GEOS/Client relationship must surpass the traditional framework of service provision, on account of the extreme conditions involved in our work, to become one of partnership based on mutual confidence. GEOS seeks long-term commitment and respects the corporate culture of the client. GEOS and its collaborators will avoid any action or initiative that could harm our partner’s corporate image and renown.
CONFIDENTIALITY To carry out its activities, GEOS must often gather or work with confidential or valuable data concerning the partner company. This data remains the exclusive property of the client. Total discretion is a fundamental rule for the collaborators of GEOS, in both their modes of action and behaviour. Indiscretion, even involuntary, is considered as professional misconduct..
THE QUALITY OF OUR PERSONNEL For GEOS recruitment is of the utmost importance, and each member of staff is coopted. A candidate can be considered for recruitment only if his character and skills are recognized by at least two members of the GEOS staff.
All staff of GEOS and their subsidiaries have signed and approved this Charter of conduct.
