Case study
July 2003 : a small group of expatriates working at an outlying site in the Liberian forest calls on GEOS for emergency evacuation assistance as rebel fighting draws dangerously close to their place of work. Despite the obvious technical difficulties, GEOS organised a heliborne operation to repatriate the 4 men to Sierra Leone and to safety, hours before the plantation was reached by rebel fighters.
