Qualifications required :

• University degree (project management, business management, international relations) or professional project management experience, experience working in the field,
• Communications skills (team work),
• Capable of working under difficult conditions, anticipating and responding to a crisis situation,
• Strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality,
• Linguistic skills: English (+ one additional language : Spanish, French or Portuguese),
• Management experience in international or European government sector a plus (UN/European Union).

Work performed :

• Ensures cooperation between team members,
• Assists with planning, takes part in briefings of teams and reports (fees, allowances, insurance, medical evacuation, payments, ues of current expenses, mission equipment, transport, lodgings, communications, etc.), participates in the preparation of weekly reports,
• Centralises the operational requirements of mission members (main team and observers) and maintains regular contact with all the teams on the ground,
• In charge of operational closure of mission,
• Takes all necessary measures with local staff to ensure smooth running of mission.

Location : Africa, Latin America and Asia (on a case by case basis)

Type of contract : contract to hire as of 2010 (2 to 4 months)
