Qualifications required :
• Graduate of Military or Police Academy; Officer rank or equivalent, technical training in military, police or other procedures and practices,
• Experience in the field: work in a multicultural environment,
• Communications skills (team work),
• Capable of working under difficult conditions, anticipating and responding to a crisis situation,
• Strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality,
• Linguistic skills: English (+ one additional language: Spanish, French or Portuguese),
• Management experience in international or European government sector a plus (UN/European Union).
Work performed :
• Establishes and maintains relations with local officers in charge of security, with relevant government departments, Police service and civilian and military agencies,
• Provides team with comprehensive briefings,?• Implements a security plan for the mission,
• Plans security inspections of general headquarters and residences, advises project manager on security standards and applicable legislation,
• Maintains daily contact with all staff in the field,?• Sets up a Security Operations Centre for the mission (24/7),
• Ensures compliance with security procedures,
• Organises medical evacuation procedures, ensures security for special events,
• Establishes a data base including information on all violent incidents and issues reported during the mission,
• Participates in the preparation of weekly reports, final report and internal reports,

Type of contract : contracts to hire as of 2010 (from 2 to 4 months)
